Auto-repeat button does not behave properly

🔍 What went wrong?

A button where auto_repeat is not zero has a behavioral malfunction: when the end user presses the button, the action is triggered immediately, when repeated until the button is released.

✅ Expected Behavior

The first action should be triggered after the repeat period has elapsed.
