Can't Get SEN66 to Detect

Hello All! Really excited to have finally flashed the firmware (1.1.5), triple checked my wiring, and printed the case, and then... Can't get the SEN66 to detect. Thinking it is possibly a DOA SEN66, I contacted DigiKey and of course they do their due diligence asking about the project and suggested that the firmware did not contain the necessary drivers, which is false (and I linked them to the git files showing them). However I'm still without a working unit.

Has anyone else had this issue and how did you try solving it? The light on the SEN>I2C breakout board is active. The SEN66's fan is not spinning. I have properly modified the Grove>JST adapter and wired the capacitor (would be delighted if it was human error, but i think it's solid). I'm only using the SN66, so i did not add the passive I2C hub.

So the SEN66 does need specific wiring. When I built mine I had to move one of the pins on the 6 pin cable.

For example, this is the pinout for the SEN66:

But the Aura PCB had SCL and SDA reversed from what the SEN66 wanted.

Double check your pins. It's helpful to write down on a sheet of paper the color if the wire and what it connects on one aide to the other

From just a very simple look at your photo, double check the yellow and green wires. Maybe swap them in the JST housing using a small screwdriver to pry up the tab and pull the wire and crimps out. Then swap them and put them back in.

Your 6 pin cable is not put together correctly. Turn the connectors so they are facing the same direction. The colors should match from left to right. I have no idea why but you can buy cables that are assembled backwards. I made that mistake with some I bought from AliExpress. When the cables are laying flat look at the connector tab. One should be facing up and one should be facing down.
