Ok, so if you have multiple defective areas, the Error Reporting Mode "Error Summary" is not the best choice. Better switch to the "Linux memmap" reporting Mode to see all the errors on the screen. Also make sure that these errors are at the same place if you run memtest again - it is possible that you have an hardware fault, that doesn't let you identify static places of the errors - then you are out of luck and have to consider hardware repair. But in case the errors stay at the same place, you can simply run the disableram utility multiple times before booting - every time with a different error-range. Best to use an .nsh script for this - read and follow the Readme of this page. Post your output of memtest ("Linux memmap" error reporting mode) here and show me the nsh file you came up with. |

Hi there, I have multiple areas of bad ram and wondering if all of them can be disabled? I have attached screenshots of each area could you help me to complete the file to put into rEFInd? Thank you so much.
I went through a long process testing small areas of the RAM to find each section. Strangely I also found one section that did not appear to test like the other areas, it seemed to just extremely quickly go through some text over and over and over and gave no errors. The text was too fast to read but seemed to be going through each of the memory test titles at lightning speed, if I was to guess.
Thank you so much for your help with this I am extremely grateful.
